is it okay to wash Uggs boots?
my friend gave me some Uggs boots today and they kinda stink . i was wondering would they get damaged if i washed them or there another alternative .
& if they'll get damaged by washing them , what is another way to get the smell out ?
oh yeah , how do i get the "wet" looking stains off the front of them ?
That depends:
1) if the are the knit Uggs then yes.use woolite and wash them on the delicate cycle, then stuff with hand towels and air dry.
2) if they are the sheepskin uggs then no do not put them in the washer.take a damp clothe with mild handsoap and rub the boots in one direction getting them wet. this will get out the salt stains and water stains. air dry them. re waterproof them, this should take the smell out but if not use baking soda or when they are completly dry put them in the freezer for a few days in a plastic bag. the freezing cold kills the odor causing bacteria.
