How can I be better at my job? I work in a clothing store called rave.?
I worked there for about 1 year and a half and I've never really had to do anything but hang up the clothes and ring up customers, but now the new company (BCBG Max Azaria) wants us to serve clients and sell them and really, really be as a cheerleader like really happy and thats not a problem because I can act like everyone is my friend, but my problem is I do not really know much about fashion and how to match colors and clothing and fabrics for other people so how can I solve this problem so I can be the best at my job. Can you give me tips on home and talk to customers? Thank you
First, always greet customers in the first three minutes in the store, with a smile and a "Hello, how are you?!" People note that they do not like to be discussed, which is understandable. But a good salesperson will just ask once and leave it at that. If your company wants you to greet customers, then you have - so might as well do it in a way pleasant. Then ask them if they are looking for something specific or something special. "Looking for something special today?" If they say no, then let them see for themselves. Do not ask more than once. Leave them with, "If you need help with sizes, I'd be more than happy to help. "If the customer says yes, they are looking for something - or you or you do not (Or something similar.) If you have it, get them to that point, if you did not apologize and say no. If you something similar, show them. If you are unsure, ask your manager. Know the store so you can walk with the customer for the items they seek. Remove it from the rack, show them with your arm under the point of view help. Go from there, building groups. For example, they just want a shirt, it matches with a pair of pants. "I like this shirt, my sister told me that with this pants. "And if they want an item, to show them something you think they would like. Look at what the customer door. Most of all go with your gut. Anyone can tell when someone wants to be left alone to leave them alone. If they say they are looking for something, it's your question we can help them out one by one. The store has models? Follow the screens. Have you a catalog of the company that the articles go with what? Watch them come before items, think about what you would put in place. Ask your manager, talk to workers about what cooperation they would put together. When cleaning, check out the article and see what you think might look good.
